The purpose of the Materials International Space Station Experiment ( MISSE) is to characterize the performance of new prospective spacecraft materials when subjected to the synergistic effects of the space environment. Upon retrieval of MISSE 4 from space, the MISSE materials will be returned to the experiment investigators for analysis. The photographic timeline presented herein will be used to support analysis of the 750 MISSE materials during their exposure in space.
